Her father was a concert violinist and music lecturer, and her mother was a medium, psychic and faith healer. She was born Christine Anne Perfect on 12 July 1943 in the small village of Bouth in Lancashire, England. She was also recognised for being a calming, stabilising influence in a tempestuous band where tempers often flared and personnel changes were frequent.
